What you learn in these 7 sessions could change your life! 
Step by step, this class will help guide you how to find a job if you are unemployed or anticipating a career transition. Our Crossroads "Crash" Course for Career Transition is based upon Crossroads Career Network's "Seven Steps Workbook”  (). We call it the “Crash Course” because it is an intense version of a class often taught over 7-14 weeks.

The Crash Course consists of 7 sessions conducted over 2-1/2 weeks. Please plan to attend ALL sessions as the class is cumulative and missing one session can put you seriously behind. Topics covered during the seven sessions include: 

Building a Positive Attitude

Discovering Your Gifts, Passions and Calling

Developing Your Brand and Writing Resumes for Results

Methods for Finding Opportunities

Having Engaging Interviews

Evaluating and Negotiating Offers

Using Social Media

As part of this course, you will also:

Take an online career assessment

Get a personalized resume review

Have a realistic mock interview with a hiring professional

Share ideas and opportunities with others in career transition

This month’s class will be hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, located at 1328 Peachtree Street in Atlanta GA 30309, the corner of Peachtree Street and 16th. There is a small parking lot at the back of the church off of Arts Center Way.  Take MARTA!  The church is 1/2 block from the MARTA Arts Center Station. 
We have assembled a team of expert facilitators -- leaders in career ministry programs at area churches, all experienced both in business and in helping others learn effective ways to search for new career opportunities! All of our team has been in career transition and personally understands the challenges you are facing.  You will find more information about our Crash Course all-volunteer team on our website HERE.
The course tuition covers our direct costs of offering this program (online career assessments, printed materials, credit card processing) and supports our scholarship program. Our volunteers are not compensated, and facilities are provided by our sponsoring church. No one profits but you!

Attendance at ALL 7 sessions is required, this is not a "drop-in" class
Several hours of outside preparation will be needed for most of the sessions 
Outside requirements will require use of a computer with internet access 
Register only if you agree to complete the outside work and attend all sessions

WHO CAN ATTEND?.................................................................
This class is open to EVERYONE. While there is an emphasis on Christian beliefs in our class, you will benefit from this class regardless of your faith.  You do not have to be a member of any church to attend. You are always welcome to attend the career ministry programs and all activities at any of our churches.
If this month's class is full, add your name to the waitlist. We'll let you know if we can accommodate you and if not, you will receive information on future classes.
A limited number of partial scholarships area available for those who could not otherwise attend this class. Email registrar@atlantacrossroads.org and we will reply with a form to request tuition assistance based upon your ability to pay.
