2020 – Fall 50 – Relay Team

Welcome to the 2020 Fall 50 RELAY event page! Registration opens on Friday, May 1st at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Note: Registration on May 1 is for TEAM CAPTAINS only. Captains will be able to invite team members to sign up once their team has been registered. If you have not run a relay event before, the concept is really quite simple… register a TEAM for you and one to four of your friends and show up at the start line! Okay, there’s a little more to it than that but it is pretty easy to grasp. In the Fall 50 Relay, teams of 2-5 participants cover 50 miles from Gills Rock to Sturgeon Bay. Teams must exchange runners only at designated exchange points, but who runs what leg or how long is up to you. Each team is responsible for providing their own support vehicle to get the team to the start line and between exchange points. At the start line, teams will cheer on the first runner when the horn is fired. After that, the vehicle—filled with the remaining team members—will drive ahead to the first exchange point. The vehicle will park at the exchange point and the next runner will get ready for the hand-off. While waiting at the exchange point, participants will have time to stretch, refuel, cheer on fellow runners, flirt, and talk trash with the other teams. After the first runner arrives, the team piles into their vehicle and heads towards the next exchange point. They repeat this pattern all the way to the finish, where an all-you-can-eat pizza, beer, wine, and soda awaits.
