We recommend that you fly into one of the two closest airports to the Port of Galveston are Houston Hobby International Airport (HOU) and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH). The nearest airport to Port of Galveston is Houston Hobby International Airport. The distance between them is 42 miles and the trip takes about 30 minutes. If you arrive on the day of the cruise, make sure your flight is on the ground by 9:00 am.
We recommend that all passengers arrive the day before the cruise leaves to guard against flight cancellations and delays. Please check our hotel section for a suggested hotel. If you plan on flying home the day the cruise is over; please make sure your flight is not leaving until 3:00 pm or later to avoid any debarkation and customs delays.
