U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty
U.S. Representative of Ohio's Third Congressional District
The featured keynote speaker is U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty. A sought-after public speaker and the recipient of numerous awards, she was previously named one of ***** Magazine’s 150 most powerful African-Americans in the United States. U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty is a native Ohioan with a strong history of connecting people, policy and politics to make a difference. Since 2013, Beatty has proudly represented Ohio’s Third Congressional District.
MLK Breakfast highlights include the orations by three dynamic youth speakers ― the King Scholar from Morehouse College, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Alma Mater, Columbus City Schools, and City Winner MLK Oratorical Contest, performances by the Capriccio Columbus Columbus, Children's Choir: The Santa Maria Choir and The Middle School Honors ChoirChoir, and Opera Columbus.
Our MLK Breakfast event is intended to strengthen, encourage, empower and seeks to provide an uplift and critical message to all.
