Learn the skill and art of acrylic painting! This course is designed with the beginner painter in mind, moving towards intermediate. 

Meeting Dates: January 23, 30; February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 5, 12

The class meets from 5:00-6:30 pm.

Students are responsible for bringing their own supplies. You may want to wait until we are a week out from the start date in case the class is canceled or delayed

All Lee County Lifelong Learning classes must meet a minimum student enrollment or class will be delayed or canceled (if canceled, a full refund will be issued.)

When registering, please use a current email that you check often in order to receive important class messages, date changes or cancellations. 


Brushes: a variety of sizes with white bristles (Boars Hair) of each of the following: pointed round brush #4 & #8; flat 1/4-1/2 in.; liner #0000 & #1; a variety of watercolor brushes

Palette Knife--one small and an optional large

Paints--try to purchase 2 oz. or bigger. There are not necessarily universal names for colors so use your best judgement (primary and secondary colors that you can mix). Buy colors that you like, but don't go overboard.

Palette--flat surface type for mixing

Canvas paper or Bristol Board (8 x 10 in.)

Water container to rinse brush

Paper Towels

a tote bag or box for supplies
