About this Event
*Please note you must be registered for Artsmark via the in order to attend a Development Day.*
In response to the current COVID-19 situation, we are pleased to be offering a number of digital Artsmark Development Days for schools and educational settings in the South East. This training session will help those new to the Artsmark award to develop their understanding of the Artsmark process and the many benefits of working towards the award. You will get to know the Quality Principles that underpin your Artsmark journey, and discover the support tools and resources available to you.
Alongside an expert trainer, Artswork’s Education Development Manager for Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes will be contributing their local knowledge to the day. The day includes an opportunity for networking with other local schools and education settings. Settings from these areas will get more from the day but organisations from across the South East are welcome to attend. Development Days for other areas can be seen on our website at: https://artswork.org.uk/training-events/
We will support you in high levels of planning, helping you to draft your Statement of Commitment and equipping you to start working towards bringing your creative aspirations to fruition for the children and young people you work with. You will also have the opportunity to network with other schools and education settings.
Two members of staff from your school or education setting are required to attend, one of which must be a member of your Senior Leadership Team. To achieve your Artsmark award you must have the support and endorsement of school/setting leaders in order to effectively embed the arts and culture across the whole school/setting.This session will run using Zoom Videoconferencing. Full joining information will be sent once we have received your booking. You do not need a Zoom account in order to take part in this training but will need access to a computer or smartphone that has video capabilities. This training will be split over 2 sessions to allow a break for lunch. There will also be a comfort break in both the morning and afternoon session at the discretion of the trainer.
