Avondale/ Glen Elder Community Clean up: Call for Volunteers!, Max Baer Park, Saturday, 09. March 2019

Vice Mayor Eric Guerra, in partnership with Sacramento Regional Solid Waste Authority, Atlas Disposal,  City of Sacramento's Code Enforcement Division, Recycling and Solid Waste Division, Special Events Division, and Neighborhood Services Division, is hosting a large scale clean up targeting more than 600 households in the Avondale/ Glen Elder Neighborhood. 
Service opportunities include but are not limited to:


Loading/ Unloading Trash & Debris from residents' cars into large dumping bins ( This is our highest volunteer need; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.) 


Distributing Educational Materials in Neighborhood 


 Assisting with Traffic Control

 What are the next steps after signing up?


Mandatory Volunteer Orientation (Date TBD)


Are there requirements to enter the event?


Must be able to lift 50 lbs


Committment to the full 3.5 hours 


The minimum age will be 16 years old.


Anyone under 18 must have parent/ guardian approval. 



Do I need to bring anything to this event?


Closed toe shoes are required 


Safety Equipment provided (safety vests, work gloves, etc)


Lunch provided
