Bat Box Building Workshop - Dark Skies at the Creek, Beaver Creek Conservation Area, Saturday, 27. October 2018

Bat Box Building Workshop
Celebrate International Bat Week with Meewasin at Beaver Creek Conservation Area on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Visit the centre during either our day or evening events to learn about our night sky, nocturnal wildlife, and how light pollution affects the natural world around us!
Join the staff at Beaver Creek Conservation to build your very own bat box. Families can build their own bat box onsite and then use it in their own yard to attract our insect-eating, nocturnal friends to hang out around your yard.
Tickets are only for the bat box building program. To get tickets for the evening event please see our other Eventbrite page.
Each ticket is for one bat box, and there is a limit of one bat box per family. If you have access to a hammer, please bring one for the program. The wood and supplies have been donated by Meewasin.
Stay tuned to Meewasin social media for any changes to the schedule closer to the event. This event is sponsored by the Saskatoon Nature Society and Meewasin Valley Authority.
To arrive onsite, take highway #219 13km south of Saskatoon and turn right at the Beaver Creek Conservation Area sign.
