Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding Class for Doulas

This class is geared toward doulas but open to all birth & postpartum professionals, and fulfills the breastfeeding prerequisite for certification through DONA.   Topics include: benefits of breast/chestfeeding, anatomy and physiology, cue-based feeding, common challenges, the doula’s role in supporting lactation, scope of practice, and much more. Class is inteactive with lots of role playing and activites; please come prepared to engage and move! Taught by Jen Chandlee, PDT (DONA); PCD(DONA; CD(DONA); ICCE(ICEA); CLE(CAPPA) who was inspired into this work after having her first baby in 1994. She currently offers postpartum doula trainings and services; breast/chestfeeding, postpartum, & childbirth classes; in-home breastfeeding support; and mentoring/business coaching for new doulas. She is the Director of Postpartum Education and Services at Homegrown Babies.  In the event of absence (sickness, weather, called to a birth, etc.), your registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, but may be transferred to another class date within the year.
