Bristlecone Night Sky Photo Adventure , Bristlecone, Friday, 02. August 2019

Photograph the night sky while being immersed in an ancient Bristlecone Pine forest. Located just outside of Bishop CA, in the White Mountains. This is a perfect location for star trails, light painting and night sky photo fun. Instructors will be on hand to point you in the right direction! Arrive at the Grandview campground in the afternoon for training, then practice the techniques first hand when the sun goes down. 
Learn how to photograph stars moving romantically through the sky, how to creatively build a scene, and how to add lighting for extra effect. Take advantage of dark skies for amazing shots of the stars and milky way. Instructors will be on hand to point you in the right direction! Arrive at the Grandview campground in the afternoon on Friday for the training, then practice the techniques first hand when the sun goes down. Saturday night, we’ll take a field trip to the Bristlecone Pines for long start trails and light painting. We’ll start right after dark and shoot until the early hours. You can camp out, sleep in the car, drive to a nearby hotel or come home. We’ll have a campsite reserved at our “perfect shooting spot.” You’ll get full details after you register.

×          During the day: Scouting, post processing and maybe sleeping and at night: Star trails & light painting!
×          Includes: Location for photographing, “How-To Prep Class” 7/24 and onsite instruction & post production class 8/7
×          Does not include: Transportation, meals, hotel accommodations (we will be over an hour away the closest hotel) and entrance fees.
