Buckley AFB orientation sessions are virtual – there is NO physical location. A link and login instructions will be emailed to you the day prior to the session.  Attending an Orientation is the first step to the Cohort application process. Orientation sessions are 1.5 hours long and provide a detailed program overview and the opportunity to ask questions for clarification. The Orientation will prepare you to attend one of the upcoming cohorts. Cohorts consist of four days of in class instruction followed by ten weeks of online training.  Upcoming Buckley Air Force Base Cohort Schedule: Cohort 3 (Buckley AFB) – 10 Sep – 21 Nov 2019 To participate in this cohort you must attend an orientation before August 23, 2019 Upcoming Fort Carson Cohort Schedule: Cohort 9 (CTU Colorado Springs Campus) – 24 Sep – 20 Dec 2019 To participate in this cohort you must attend an orientation before September 6th, 2019   Cohort 10 (CTU Colorado Springs Campus) – 14 Jan – 27 March 2020  To participate in this cohort you must attend an orientation before December 20th, 2019 There are multiple dates, and times for orientations, please REGISTER (with the green button on the top right) for the one session that works best for you and keep track of your event ticket as it has the event time and details.  FAQs What do I need for the orientation? Installed and Updated Adobe Flash Player Paper and writing utensil for notes Be prepared to email a copy of your Proof of Service Documents: ·         Veterans – Any veteran who has already separated or retired from the military with an “honorable” discharge status o   Please supply DD214 or DD Form 256 ·         Active Duty Military – Any transitioning active duty service member who will transition from military service to the civilian workforce in the next 6 months with an “honorable” discharge status o   A proof of service document such as an ERB or ORB  ·         Spouses of any active duty, or qualifying veterans (6-month limitation does not apply to spouses) o   Spouses should supply the service-member’s DD214 if available and a current military ID. What should I wear to the orientation? Uniform of the day is acceptable for active duty service members. All other business casual attire is appropriate.  What is a Cohort?  A group or class. Onward to Opportunity cohorts consist of four days of in-person training followed by ten weeks of online curriculum in the certification track of your choosing.
