Building a Relationship with the Quran, Friday, 13. January 2017, Bethesda

New Timing and Expanded Youth Programs for NWMI’s Monthly Quran Circle!

7:00pm - 8:30pm Quran Circle Activities
8:30pm – 9:30pm Open Gym for Youth

This program has something for everybody! In addition to the adult program, we have expanded our youth programs to 4 concurrent sessions for ages 4-7, 8-11, 12-14, and 15-19 years old. Each program will involve a combination of age-appropriate activities and discussions focused on important Quranic concepts. Parents may drop off their children in these programs in order to attend the adult session. Youth programs are FREE, but registration is required for children ages 4-14. While the youth enjoy their programs, adults have their own program focusing on a deeper understanding of individual suras in revelation order. Each session begins with a short dhikr (remembrance) followed by a facilitator’s overview of the session’s verses based on existing interpretations and root word analysis. For January's session, we will discuss surat-al-A’la (#87) and surat-al-Layl (#92).This session is open to anyone interested in developing a relationship with the Holy Book. All levels of participation are welcome, from active discussion to simply listening to the conversation.
