Camp CEO for Girls Charlotte 2020

Girls want to make laws AND money, so we’re launching the Girls in Business Initiative in 2020. Don’t miss our inaugural session of Camp CEO for Girls Charlotte 2020. Camp CEO for Girls begins with an introduction to basic business principles including strategy, marketing and finance. Each girl will then create her own business and complete the following activities. Name her business Create a mission statement Create a logo Create a slogan or tagline Design a business card Create a marketing plan Create a finance plan including a budget Create a pitch for investors Once her business has taken shape our young CEOs will pitch a group of mock investors for the funding to launch her start-up. 30 tickets will be issued for this session. Camp CEO for Girls is open to girls ages 10 to 15. Girl Scouts participating in Camp CEO for Girls will receive a business owner badge upon completion of the program. The camp day runs from 8am to 3pm. The registration fee includes program materials, lunch, snacks and a GIP logo t-shirt. No refunds will be given for camp registration fees unless the organizer cancels or reschedules the session. The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire. Is lunch provided? Lunch is provided as are snacks. Snacks include fresh apples, bananas and granola bars. Water will be served with lunch and available throughout the day. No sodas or juice will be served. Breakfast is not served. Are accommodations made for allergies or dietary restrictions? A vegetarian lunch option will be provided, no pork will be served. No nuts are allowed in the meeting room. Participants with other dietary restrictions or allergies should bring lunch and snacks if necessary. What is the dress code? Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. Each participant will receive a GIP logo t-shirt that may be worn during the session. We carry sizes youth medium through ***** medium. Do parents attend? The sessions are drop-off sessions and parents/chaperones are welcome to wait in hotel lobby or any of the lounge areas of the hotel. Is this program a sponsored by a corporation or interest group? The Girls in Business Initiative is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. The Girls in Business Initiative is a sister company of the Girls in Politics Initiative. Is financial aid available? Financial aid is available on a first come, first serve basis.
