CapRadio Reads Registration

What is CapRadio Reads? CapRadio Reads is a series of events including a traditional book club held monthly at CapRadio Studios; local author events called «In Conversation», held four times per year at the CapRadio Studios; and New York Times best-selling author events, called «Authors On Stage,» held four times per year at the Sac State Harper Alumni Center. Use the «register» button above to join CapRadio Reads and watch your email inbox to learn about these events. CapRadio Reads Events CapRadio Book Club Monthly. Registration is free, but space is limited CapRadio Book Club is for Capital Public Radio members and listeners. We meet monthly, usually on the second Tuesday of each month. Our book selections are carefully thought out, and varied in nature. We have two meeting time options, 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. We encourage new members to join us for these ****-to-**** meetings, but only have space for 40 readers at each meeting time. All ****-to-**** CapRadio Reads meetings will be held in the Community Room at the CapRadio Studios. We will announce our new monthly selection at the end of each monthly meeting and registration will be made available on the web on the first Wednesday following the monthly meeting. A link will be provided, so you may purchase a copy or download it directly through the web. Registration is free, but space is limited so you must register each month to attend. Please sign up early to reserve your space. In addition to the monthly meetings, you can participate in the book club online 24-hours-a-day. Our moderator, Vicki Lorini posts the monthly book selection with weekly updates and we welcome your comments in the space provided. In Conversation Four times per year. Registration is typically $10 per person In Conversation author events are hosted by Morning Edition Host, Donna Apidone. These in-depth interviews are held four times per year in the Community Room at CapRadio Studios. Registration is typically $10 per person. Watch your email inbox for upcoming opportunities. Authors on Stage Four times per year. Registration is typically $10 per person Authors on Stage is a series of appearances by New York Times best-selling writers hosted by Allen Pierleoni, who orchestrated and hosted the Sacramento Bee Book Club for 16 years. He engages with authors in front of an audience at the Harper Alumni Center at Sac State. Held four times per year, registration is typically $10 per person. To join the conversation, just post your comment on our blog at CapRadio Reads. All comments will be moderated. To attend our monthly meetings, sign up each month when the link becomes available. There is no charge to join or for the monthly meetings. However, there may be a charge for special events (typically $10 per person). Be sure to sign up early, space is limited. Special Events and Authors’ Evenings From time-to-time we host special CapRadio Reads events, including special «In Converation» author events and «Authors On Stage» events. The evening events, as well as readings and signings, are held both at the Station and around the community. Our special events will be offered first to CapRadio Reads members and then to all of our listeners. CapRadio Reads is for everyone, anytime. Whether you are online or in the community room, your voice can be included in the conversation.
