CBCT® Cognitively Based Compassion Training 8-Week Educational Course, Atlanta Center For Wellness, Tuesday, 04. February 2020

Would you like to better manage your stress, anxiety, anger or agitation? Maybe you are feeling busy, but not purposefully driven, or perhaps you are seeking balance in your life or wanting to improve your relationships with others to include deeper intimacy and connection. Compassion training can help you.
Compassion literally means "to suffer together." Among emotion researchers, it is uniquely defined as a feeling that arises when you witness another's suffering, and then feel compelled with a deep wish or desire to alleviate that suffering. This inludes your willingness to alleviate your own suffering.
In this 8-week course we examine the deep evolutionary purpose of compassion and how it can benefit you. Through the use of systematic, analytical meditation practices entrenched in deep wisdom taught by the Dalia Lama, and cutting edge psychoogy and neuroscience, we can learn to culitvate resiliency within ourselves and extend our compassion outwardly without burnout, exhaustion or fatigue.
If you want to change the way things are, you have to be willing to do something different.
Committing to this 8-week course is a step forward to "being the change you wish to see in the world."--Gandhi
