Crucial and Difficult Conversations Workshop This workshop is for City of Baltimore Managers/Supervisors only. Based on the New York Times bestseller Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High*, this course will provide participants with tools for their communication tool belt. Participants will complete a self-assessment to determine what their go-to reaction is when stakes and emotions are high while opinions vary. Being able to have an open dialogue with a team member, regardless if that person is your supervisor, co-worker, or employee, is a necessity in every organization. Communicating with tact and diplomacy improves relationships, team cohesion, respect, and Objectives: Upon the completion of this course, participants will: Learn their style under stress Recognize what conversation needs to be had Know how to stay in dialogue Know how to keep the dialogue safe Have tools to TALK to supervisors, co-workers, and/or employees Target Audience:      Managers / Supervisors Time:                        9:00 am – 2:00 pm Location:                  City of Baltimore Learning Center                                  7 East Redwood Street / 15th Floor / Barton Learning Lab  Price:                         $300 per person (charged to agency) To register for workshop: Please click on SELECT A DATE to choose your selection. Office of Learning & Development Workshop Cancellation PolicyUpon confirmation of enrollment, employees should note the date(s), time(s) and location of the workshop on their personal calendars and make every effort to attend as scheduled. Requests to cancel a registration must be received via email to Training@Baltimorecity.gov at least three working days prior to the scheduled date to avoid charges. Agencies will be charged full workshop price for  «no shows» («No Shows» are registrants not present in the session by the start time.)  The Office of Learning & Development reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the number of registrations received is such that it would make it cost-prohibitive and in that case, workshops will be canceled one week in advance of the scheduled date.
