About this Event
Positive Behaviours for Learning - Dealing with Conflict
All behaviours happens for a reason. We will explore the causes and underlying reasons for those challenging behaviours. We know that the first step to reducing conflict is to understand those underlying causes. We will explore strategies to deal with challenge and conflict when it does arise and we will explore a range of behaviour management styles and approaches that are seen daily in our practice, some more successful than others. We will examine those typical approaches and consider the positive and negative aspects of each.
Natalie Hancock is currently a Deputy Head teacher, with 25 years’ experience. She has worked in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London, in a variety of settings including mainstream schools, a special school and a secure unit.
