Dreaming Ourselves Free, Saturday, 18. March 2017, Takoma Park

Living in a world that is working overtime to render Black people extinct can and does inflict spiritual and psychological harm on us in subtle and profound ways; its insidious effects can unknowingly create barriers to embodying our intrinsic magic: our creativity, intuition, peace of mind, and capacity to manifest a world or our most vivid imaginings.

You know how hard they try and colonize the landscape our dreams; how intricately they try to terrorize the richness our hope. But there is still an expansive future waiting for you. And you can absolutley still conjure it. Grant yourself the permission to dream up something new. Here and now is your opportunity to flourish new beginnings. Allow your imagination and audacity for hope to move you beyond the material of today and manifest into the abundance that absolutely *still* awaits you.

This playful, liberatory, and imaginative space will be a deliberate pause from the noise that surrounds us today-- an opportunity for you to uncover the freedom dreams within all of us that are yearning to be held and manifested. By utilizing sacred breathing techniques, exploring dreaming and imagination practices, and engaging in aromatherapeutic exercises, we will celebrate the magic of healing that arrives when we allow ourselves the permission to dream.

Terror will have you convincd that you are now powerless, but remember they can't take your power without your permision, no matter the political circumstances. You are the sacred dust of noble stars, a conduit to the conjured dreams of our ancestors; where kaleidoscopic possibilities breathe life to sacred things that can never be destroyed.

This space is facilitated by Danielle Stevens.
