This two-day Professional Development course is for middle and high school teachers that incorporate the history and culture of China into their curriculum. This course provides a broad outline of Chinese history, key elements of traditional and modern Chinese culture, as well as a rudimentary understanding of the workings of the Chinese language. Through a variety of lectures, discussions, and martial arts and food demonstrations, students will understand China and Chinese culture in a global and multi-cultural context.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 5, 2019 (course is capped at 30 students)
