Filipino American Youth Leadership Conference 2018: FILosophy, California State University, Sacramento, Friday, 03. August 2018

Organized in 1996, the Filipino American Youth Leadership Conference (FAYLC) is PNDA’s youth led project organized by youth members of PNDA’s Board of Directors. It was first conceived as a laboratory for youth leadership training by high school students with ***** guidance and intended for high school participants to address their youth issues. College students and young professionals in the role of counselors facilitate a non-judgmental interaction where honesty, trust, acceptance, confidentiality and support are established so youth can express themselves freely and responsibly. Topics of Filipino and Filipino American identity, leadership, preparing for college, sexuality, generational and cultural conflicts, empowering and disempowering relationships, family dynamics, and racism are processed in small groups. Participants learn more about themselves and their society.

Please make sure you or your student has filled out the application before submitting the payment.
