Fire Writing with Maya Kholsa at Glen Oaks Ranch 5-12-19

Join Sonoma County’s Poet Laureate, Maya Khosla, for an afternoon exploring the land and responding to it in our writings. We’ll hike at a gentle pace along the creek and into the hills at Sonoma Land Trust’s Glen Oaks Ranch and will pause to reflect and share short works in a supportive environment. Special focus will be given to surrounding natural areas that have been regenerating since the October 2017 fires. No prior experience necessary!About Maya Khosla:Maya Khosla is the Poet Laureate of Sonoma County (2018-2020). Her first book of poetry, Keel Bone, won the Dorothy Brunsman Poetry Prize and was published by Bear Star Press. Her chapbook, Heart of the Tearing, was published by Red Dust Press.
