Book Arts: Artists, Books and Independent Publishers of NYC | Center for Book Arts
Books and book art encompass nearly every form of printed, written and even electronic communication, making them vital tools to examine the ways we define ourselves. Book art uses the ideas, forms, and concepts of the book format to analyze larger issues around identity, community, culture, and society. Join us to learn more about what a work of book art is, how the interplay of form and content work together, and how versatile this artform is at crossing boundaries and touching everyone.
INSTRUCTOR: Corina Reynolds, Executive Director Center for Book Arts

ABOUT CENTER FOR BOOK ARTS
The Center for Book Arts promotes active explorations of both contemporary and traditional artistic practices related to the book as an art object. The Center seeks to facilitate communication between the book arts community and the larger spheres of contemporary visual and literary arts, while being a model organization locally, nationally, and internationally within the field.   We achieve this through exhibitions, classes, public programming, literary presentations, opportunities for artists and writers, publications, and collecting.
