Looking for more fun and creative art projects at home?

Join Friends of Riverside Park Houston and Harambee Art Gallery as they team up to offer a series of FREE online workshops made available through a LISC + Go Neighborhood Grant to engage both children and adults.

Friends of Riverside Park Houston, new 501c3 non-profit organization, dedicated to revitalizing Riverside Park located at 2615 Calumet, is challenging families to get creative with the “Create Where You Are” virtual art project.

Harambee Art Gallery is a fine art gallery focused on advancing environmental art by promoting the use of recycled materials in art and design for students of all ages.

Every third Thursday of the month 4pm - 5pm via Zoom.

Can't make the live workshop? You can create on demand, connect,and interact with other participants in our Google Classroom. You will receive your invitation after registration.

This online series is an educational tool for both experienced and interested artists and art lovers. It will include workshops, talks, and instructionals led by various artists exploring ideas of resourcefulness and environment through the use of recycled and available materials. Within this series, participants will learn how to develop their creativity and sensitivity for the environment, learn art value, and how to interact on a global scale through the use of communications technology.
