Participants will receive instruction in the following topics:

 Understanding why problems and Unplanned Events repeat;


 Efficiently investigating Unplanned Events, including near-misses, in less time using methods appropriate to the complexity of the underlying problems;


 Separating corrective actions that work from those that only look or sound good;


 Quickly producing effective corrective actions that maximize the probability of long-term performance improvement;


 Reducing costs by eliminating activities that are not real corrective actions;


 Solving all types of work problems more effectively, including HSE issues;


 Improving the pre-task planning process;


 The basics of organizational learning measurement.

Each participant will receive a training material package and will be issued a certificate of completion.
Personnel at all levels of the organization will benefit from this training including:

Line Management
Supervisors
HSEQ personnel
Anyone who reports or investigates unplanned events (such as Accidents, Near Misses, and Incidents)
Anyone who develops or implements corrective actions, or takes part in pre-task planning (risk assessment, JSA, JHA etc)
