Fundraising Series: Making the Ask in Fundraising, Online, Thursday, 12. November 2020
About this Event
People don’t spontaneously show up at a church on a Saturday afternoon at 1 pm and get married—someone had to ask. And people don’t spontaneously drop bags of money at your doorstep—you have to ask. Solicitation is the smallest step in the fundraising cycle, but the only step that yields results. Come learn how to make the ask and drive results for your arts organization.
About the Fundraising Series:
Like it or not, fundraising is an essential skill for all arts organizations. In this workshop series, development and fundraising guru, Melanie Doerner will breakdown the steps and best practices to get started in fundraising. This series of four workshops will cover the basics of development work as well as insight into maintaining a work/life balance, courting corporate donors, and making the all-important ask.
