GENESIS: BMW From The Beginning - The Vintage Opening, BMW CCA Foundation Museum, Friday, 23. October 2020

Our next exhibit, Genesis: BMW From the Beginning, is scheduled to open on May 15, 2020...as a virtual exhibit. We don't have a date for when we can open to the public at this time.

You're invited to The Vintage Open House for GENESIS: BMW From the Beginning Presented by The Werk Shop!

This year, the Foundation Museum is bringing you an exceptional collection of BMWs from the beginning to 1965. We have 20 rare cars from the 1933 309 to a 1965 3200CS. We also have four BMW motorcycles. You may have seen one or two of these cars at events around the country, but now you get to see ALL of them in one place!

GENESIS brings together the pre-war and post-war automobiles and motorcycles. No other display of this size has been at a museum in the US before. Here are just a few of the vehicles you will see: the legendary 328 roadster, 315, 309, and the 327/28. You will also see the 502, 503 Cabrio, the iconic 507 as well as the Isetta, 600, and 700. Are you into motorcycles? You won't want to miss the military R75 with sidecar AND cargo trailer.

We've got 24 pristine examples of the cars and motorcycles from the early years for BMW. Be among the first to see this brand new exhibit at the BMW CCA Foundation Museum!

GENESIS launches to the public on May 15 (as a virtual exhibit for now), and runs through January 2021. We look forward to seeing our Vintage friends on Friday, October 23.

The October 23 Open House celebration will feature;

- Jackie Jouret, author of the GENESIS exhibit book.

- A special guest speaker (tbd)

- Multiple giveaways from your exhibition sponsors and the Foundation Museum

- A free exhibition collectible for every guest

- Music, food trucks, and general opportunities to see your friends and enjoy yourself

- An amazing array of guest BMW's in our own parking lot

And of course, GENESIS exhibition books, posters, and merchandise will all be available to feed your BMW obsession.

GENESIS: BMW From the Beginning is presented by The Werk Shop and generously supported by  Yokohoma, Classic BMW, CocoMats / Furstil, and BMW Classic Car Club of America.

We're charging $30 per person for this experience ($10 for kids).  Here's why: Your BMW CCA Foundation is a nonprofit organization, and exists only through the generosity of its donors. Your admission fee will help to sustain the CCA Foundation Museum & Archive, and it will also help fund Tire **** Street Survival, a national car-control training program for teenage drivers.

You'll leave with something cool. Your admission fee includes a special GENESIS collectible for you to take home. You'll love it...we promise.

Food Trucks will be serving lunch onsite. Between 11:00am and 2:00pm, you will have the ability to purchase lunch from top-quality food trucks parked onsite (lunch is not included in your admission fee).  There are also several restaurants located at exits 63 and 54 on Interstate 85.

This place is worth seeing.  The BMW CCA Foundation Museum & Archive is located in Greer, SC, directly next door to the BMW Performance Center, and across the street from BMW's largest manufacturing center. The Museum & Archive currently preserves about 45,000 BMW-related items, from rare cars to engines to art. It's the largest such collection in the Americas.  And if you're a member of the BMW Car Club of America, it's all here for you.
