Goat Yoga on the Homestead- Sunset Session, ZiegenVine Homestead, LLC, Saturday, 26. September 2020

Experience Yoga like never before - with Goats! Where goats are goats and humans do yoga!

About this Event

Goat Yoga offers something for everyone regardless of yoga experience or ability. In addition to typical benefits of yoga, like practice slowing down and being present, this unique opportunity offers people the chance to tune into nature and, in the process, into themselves. Try doing a pose with an adorable baby goat (or kid) nuzzling up to you without smiling - even if you say you dont like animals or you are a "mall girl" or “city guy” ! Goat Yoga is where you want to be.

Come for the yoga and the goats, stay for the sunset. We welcome you to bring some snacks and beverage of your choice to enjoy the sunset on the plateau. ***Please leave them in your car until after the yoga session is over (and you have washed your hands) otherwise you will be sharing them with the goats...

For 2020 we have changed some things up:

1) Please bring your own yoga mat- we will have the same mat cleaning services we have always had for raisinets and lemonade (Allison with her disinfectant spray and paper towels).

2) We are limited public class sizes to 25 people - to allow for spacing of more than 6 feet between yoga mats.

3) In case of rain - we will be cancelling classes - no refunds unless we cancel the class. If we cancel due to rain you will be refunded. The decision to cancel will not be made until just before the class - for this we apologize but the weather around here is very unpredictable.

4) While we have not increased our pricing of $20 per person we have changed the policy where the attendee pays the registration fees .

5) Respect each others space - social distancing is a requirement to attend.

6) Hand sanitizer, soap and water are provided for hand washing.

Q. Are there any bathrooms?

A. There is an outdoor bathroom with a flushing toilet - near the yoga area.

Q. Are there refunds or make-ups for classes?

A. There are no refunds unless the class gets cancelled - due to Covid-19 in 2020 we will be cancelling classes due to rain.

Q. Can I transfer my ticket? Can I check in without my ticket? Do I need to print out my ticket? Can I resell my ticket?

A Yes- you can transfer your registration to another person. Yes you can check-in without your ticket- however, you cannot check-in without the ticket if it has been transferred. No- you cannot resell your ticket.

Q. Are spectators allowed at Goat Yoga on the Homestead?

A. We understand that a few people may come and don't want to do yoga. You still need to pay for the class, we have a limited amount of space for the class.

Q. Can we pick them up?

A. There is a very specific way to pick up a goat so we would prefer you not to. If you want to hold a baby goat, just ask!

Q. Do you milk the goats?

Yes- we make and sell goat milk soap!

Q. What about the goat poo?

The sessions are held in a grassy field (not in the goat pen) so any **** becomes part of the Earth and you'll barely notice it! They have been known to drop a few pellets on a mat or even to *** on a mat- we are prepared to handle that situation with disinfecting wipes.

Q. How do we find the pictures from our class?

A. Photos are posted to ZiegenVine Homesteads Facebook page - typically within 24 hours of a class ending. Sometimes it may take longer.

Q. Can we just come and pet the goats without yoga? I don't really do yoga.

A. Goat Yoga is a very casual fun environment. You are welcome to just sit, meditate and pet the goats but you do have to still sign up for a class & pay for a ticket. We ask that if you intend to not to yoga - to please sit toward the back as to not block the view of those attendees doing yoga.

Q. How long is class?

A. Each class is approximately 45 minutes to one hour of yoga. People are welcome to stay after to take pictures and mingle with goats!

Q. Are children permitted in classes?

A. Absolutely! Children under 15 are required to have a parent register for class with them. Children coming to goat yoga need to be able to stay on their mat for the duration of the class as not to take away from the experience for other attendees.

Q. How do I sign up for a class?

A. Click on the tab "Sign up for classes". Then click on the calendar at the bottom of the page on the date you want to come to class. Then click on "Register Now". You will be directed to Eventbrite and pay by credit card for your class.

Q. Do you have yoga mats we can use, we are coming in from out of town?

A. We will not have mats available for the 2020 season of Goat Yoga due to Covid-19.

Q. What should I wear ?

A. You may wear whatever you want to goat yoga. Some people wear yoga gear others wear jeans (although not very comfortable). We do recommend active wear of some kind. Check the weather before heading to the homestead and dress in layers if necessary.

Q. Do you offer private or corporate classes?

Yes- please call 607-207-5730 to discuss your needs.
