Green Tie Bash 2019, U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Friday, 20. September 2019

Nexus Energy Center is proud to host the 6th annual Green Tie Bash fundraiser featuring keynote speaker Margrit von Braun under the Saturn V rocket at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center at 6:00PM on Friday, September 20, 2019. 
Margrit von Braun is environmental engineer, former professor, co-founder of TerraGraphics International Foundation (TIFO), a non-governmental organization assisting communities in reducing their environmental exposures, and a leader working in the areas of hazardous waste management and risk assessment with a long history of honors and awards. Born in Huntsville, Margrit has fond memories of growing up in the town that took us to the Moon and will inspire attendees to rethink their ability to make an impact and how to make their communities more sustainable.
This event honors Champions of Energy individuals & organizations that have shown dedication to saving energy and in 2019 will include a few new aspects: a student "What does a 'green' Huntsville look like to you?" art & essay contest, interactive 'green labs' by local college students, free 'green' learning activities at community organizations booth displays, and every ***** ticket purchase includes free admission for one child! Guests can enjoy a delicious dinner, silent auction and are encouraged to show their support of energy-efficiency by wearing flairs of green within their cocktail attire!
All proceeds benefit Nexus Energy Center a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
