Hollis Community Day, Pirate Fest, Hollis Community Day, Saturday, 08. August 2020

The Hollis Community Day Organizing Committee member put together a FREE FUN day for Hollis residents and surrounding communities.



State Representative, Justin Chenette is the Master of Ceremonies for the day and does an amazing job! The event festivities will be started off with a Parade at 10:00am.



Many of the local community organizations come to help support our town: Hollis Honkers Snowmobile Club, Buxton & Hollis Historical Society, Hollis Center Library, Salmon Falls Library, Hollis Community Closet, Bonney Eagle Robotics Team, EcoMaine, Boy Scouts, Nami, Hollis Democrats and the Bear Hill Baptist Church.



Some of the Entertainment highlights from 2019:

Party Palooga: Balloon Artist is a big hit amongst the children and adults. He makes balloon animals, bow and arrows, and many assorted creations.

Studios 2 Go: This is a video game truck. It was a jug hit for all.

Pirates of the Dark Rose: They are true reenactors of the highest historical accuracy, with cannon firing demonstrations, a reenactment camp and actual pirate history lesson presentations.

Amanda Panda Music: Her music revolves around themes of mindfulness, compassion, family , friends, kindness and silliness.

Bounce Houses: We had 3 bounce houses and a 68 ft Obstacle course.

Lots of Musical Bands.



This year, we will be providing a chauffeured golf carts for anyone that needs a ride from and to their vehicles.



The Lions Club will be serving Breakfast between 8am-10am. Food trucks for anyone wanting to buy lunch or dinner. Commercial Vendors for anyone that want to do any shopping. New this year...we will be having a Flee Market.



This festival will be open rain or shine...we rented a 40' x 100' High Peak Tent with tables and chairs.



There will be lots of games with a prize table...

50/50 Raffle

A Raffle table with over 30 Baskets



Please dress up as a pirate and you can enter in our contest!



After a full day of events, we will end with a beautiful firework display from Central Maine Pyrotechnics.



Any funds generated from the Hollis Community Day are intended to provide the Hollis Recreation Department with a scholarship fund for the Summer Recreation Program.
