Reading increases intelligence and boosts brain power. Reading enhances empathy and may help fight Alzheimer’s disease. Reading provides for greater relaxation and helps prepare for sleep after a particularly stressful day. People who read are more likely to vote, exercise, and are more culturally involved in their community. Reading builds muscle memory, boosts analytical thinking, and builds a strong vocabulary. Reading builds strong writing and verbal communication skills.The Goal of the Indie Reads Book Club is to introduce you to the exciting stories and captivating characters found between the pages of books written by Indie Authors. Here’s How The Book Club Works: Each month, we’ll select a new title written by an Indie Author. Check with your library or Indie Bookseller to see if they shelve the book. If they don’t, ask them to order it, or buy the book via the author’s website or Amazon page. Spend the month reading and enjoying the book. Join our BookClubz group and build your profile. In our Book Clubz group, you will discover the Meeting Dates and Times. You’ll be able to read Special Messages from the Authors. You’ll also be able to engage with other Readers in the group by taking Polls and suggesting Future Books for the group to read. Attend the Book Club Meeting, Discuss the Book, and MEET THE AUTHOR! Readers will be able to get autographs and photos with the author at each club meeting.
