InterGenerate Conference 2019, Lipscomb University, Monday, 20. May 2019

We believe that intergenerational Christian experiences uniquely nurture Christian spiritual formation across all ages, and we’re committed to promoting intergenerational practices in faith communities. How? By bringing together practitioners and academics from a broad spectrum of Christian traditions to:

disseminate current intergenerational research,
discern common intergenerational principles,
discuss the challenges and benefits of intergenerational ministry, and
share effective intergenerational practices.

At InterGenerate 2019, ministry leaders will be inspired, empowered, and equipped to implement more intergenerational approaches in their faith communities, and researchers will have opportunities to share their findings and encourage one another. Along the way, both groups will interact, creating a collaborative synergy that will generate fresh intergenerational ministry implications and perspectives. Sound exciting? We think so!

What meals are included with the registration fee?

The Monday evening meal, an Italian buffet, will precede the evening plenary.
Tuesday lunch will be served following a distinctive family-style approach facilitated by GenOn, one of the conference sponsors (barbecue & trimmings)
The Tuesday evening meal is a banquet meal and will be served in the speaking venue preceding the evening plenary (Aristotle chicken).
Wednesday lunch will be a box lunch (a fabulous chicken bistro salad with yeast roll); this meal will coincide with the Wednesday closure activities and remarks.

Where can I eat breakfast?

Breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday are on your own (though for those staying in Bison Hall, complimentary coffee, tea, yogurt, cereal, and whole fruit are available).
There are two on-campus options for breakfast as well: Starbucks (Bennett Student Center, center of campus, #32 on the campus map) and Au Bon Pain, #46 (right next to Ezell, #49—the building where our conference convenes)
Also near campus, within walking distance (across the street [Granny White Pike] on the east side of the campus) are two more breakfast options: Subway (breakfast and lunch) and The Well, a coffee shop with breakfast options.

Where are other local restaurants?

Within one mile of campus, many other food options exist if you wish to drive (Panera, McDonald’s, another Starbucks, along with many nice restaurants if you will be in town before or after the conference: Carrabba’s, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, etc.)
