We understand that the transition of returning to school may be a difficult and challenging time for autistic people, parents, families and carers. Laura McConnell will join us to answer your questions during a Facebook Live Q&A.
Laura has been a primary school teacher in mainstream Scottish schools for over a decade, most recently in Behaviour Support and Support for Learning roles. Prior to becoming a teacher, Laura worked in children’s additional support need services for a local authority and a charity.
Laura was diagnosed with ADHD aged 32 and an Autism diagnosis followed after. Since her diagnosis, Laura has written for numerous publications and spoken at a variety of conferences and events about Autism, ADHD and Neurodiversity. She is passionate about inclusive education and improving knowledge, understanding and acceptance in the education sector.The event will be live on Facebook at 12noon on Wednesday 8 July.To view On Demand please click here*.
