Merely Players: Terra Femina Repertory, The Living Room Theatre, Thursday, 20. June 2019

The Terra Femina Collective presents: The Kansas City premiere of MERELY PLAYERS written by Katherine Gwynn, directed by Emily Swenson
All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players—but what does it mean to play? Taking place immediately after the events of AS YOU LIKE IT, the story turns the spotlight on Phebe, the lowly shepherd girl who fell in love with Rosalind in drag. With questions about sonnets, violence, gender, love, and dear deer, it’s a trunkshow with a trunk that’s more than it seems, a show where the men are played by women, and a chance for Phebe to discover what being a player really means.
