THE BANDS
MAGIC IN THE OTHER
“An intelligent music listener’s dream. The music is danceable but also worthy of focus to see their communication in real time. It is something special to bear witness to the birth of a band that could potentially take a scene by storm, you feel like you’re in on something, witness to something great.” - Glide Magazine
Magic In The Other was born out of the idea that it is in the unknown where the most potent ground lays for magic and discovery. Assembled in early 2017 consisting of in-demand Bay Area musicians - drummer, lead vocalist and bandleader Ezra Lipp (Phil Lesh & Friends, Sean Hayes), bassist Steve Adams (ALO, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers) and guitar wizard Roger Riedlbauer (Jolie Holland), this innovative **** from Oakland, CA sets out to connect with their listeners, creating a mentally-stimulating, emotionally-resonate, highly-danceable, and distinctly-transformative experience where everyone feels just a little more magical. A rock **** at its core, MITO combines a slew of diverse influences to create an original sound of intelligent songwriting and heart-felt, improvisational fearlessness.
In their first year while building a buzz in the bay area MITO was able to crowdfund 20K to go towards the productions and recording of their debut record, What We Know Is Possible released (September 2018) which was met with enthusiastic reception from fans and critics a like. WWKIP delivers half energetic and intriguing instrumentals as well as half uplifting lyrical songs with a socio-political focus.
“What We Know Is Possible is perhaps the first record to arrive in the midst of our current world struggles that truly tries to make sense of these times in which we live. It could have gone dark, but dark is not where MITO goes. There is a strong message of hope here that lifts the listener up. Collectively, the songs become an anthem of empathy amidst a daily grind of negativity. Songs that take hurtful topics like natural disasters, as well as an apocalyptic political landscape and turn all that hurt and confusion on its head by examining these negatives through a quest for personal positivity. They seek the answer to the question of how to still boundlessly love one’s fellow man and embrace one’s personal blessings amidst a world, quite literally, on fire...But do not couch these words as a suggestion that this album has a political agenda, no way, it’s just an invitation to come to the table.” - Glide Magazine
2019 sees MITO continue to tour and build fan bases near and far in support of their debut record as well as get back into the studio to record their next works.

ONE GRASS TWO GRASS
One Grass Two Grass delivers high energy, hard driving, fun-loving, old-timey, new-timey, good-timey, rockin’ California string band music. One Grass Two Grass forges its own style of folk meets old-time, meets rock, meets bluegrass. Cushioned by a bed of old mountain tunes and a dash of stomping rock and roll, they bring strings to the times. One Grass Two Grass has performed at The Yonder Mountain String Band’s Northwest String Summit outside of Portland Oregon, they've headlined San Francisco's iconic Great American Music Hall, they were a top 5 finalist for the High Sierra Music Festival Band Competition, they've performed on Lagunitas' Jam-in-the-Van, and can be seen at 2018's Hangtown Music Festival in Placerville, CA, October 25-28th hosted by Railroad Earth. Getting their start in 2012 in the San Francisco Bay Area, there have been many highlights in One Grass Two Grass’ upward trajectory. They've criss crossed the western states grooving on their rhythmic brand of bluegrass music from Oregon to New Mexico, from Montana to LA and of coarse their home away from home Colorado were they've competed in both The Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s and the Rockygrass Bluegrass Festival's Band Competitions. The group has accompanied many great artists on stage, such as Larry Keel of Keller and the Keels (& Natural Bridges); Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman; Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth; Poor Man’s Whiskey; James Nash; and John Cragie. One Grass Two Grass has opened for contemporary string bands such as Fruition, Dead Winter Carpenters, Hot Buttered Rum, The Lil’ Smokies, Danny Barnes, Grant Farm, Front Country, Mipso, Whiskey Shivers, The Last Revel, and Reverend Peyton and the Big **** Band.In early 2018 the band released their second full length studio album, Horizon, which is full of exciting new turns and twists in sound that the band has been developing for years. Horizon was produced by Nat Keefe of Hot Buttered Rum and recorded to live tape at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, CA. Jacob Groopman of Front Country helped produce 1G2G's 2014 debut album, which catapulted the group full speed into an exciting and eventful journey. One Grass Two Grass is sure to have you swaying with your lover, stomping with your brother, smiling with your mother, and having just a plain old good time with one another.

BURNSIDE
Among the western hills of Sonoma County, Burnside ignited from the collision of funky bass line groves, slick beats from a beekeeping yogi, and a motley repertoire of original songs that tell the journey from city streets to country roads, yearnings for a better world and of a goat who thinks it's a sheep. Their always-danceable modern rock stylings borrow from funk, soul, folk, indie and Americana. You can find Burnside kicking up the dance floor at your local barn party, rockin' your best friend's wedding or cross-pollinating genre-bending tunes at music festivals across California. Hope to see you there.

AVIVA LA FEY
“'Lovesick' is the kind of quiet acoustic ballad that can stop time for a few minutes and leaves you dizzy with nostalgia when the music stops" - NPR All Songs Considered
Aviva sings heart songs – some for love lost, and others for humanity lost – with a tone and cadence that somehow conjures both the vintage pop of the Fifties and the dark, dreamy sounds you might hear coming from that haunted backwoods bar in 1990s Twin Peaks, Washington. She offers a frequency of hopefulness, a frequency to cry to, a frequency that begs you to dig a bit deeper. Her songs are honest and endearing, bold and restless, easy to listen to and sometimes hard to hear. Aviva’s music invites you to look into the dark cracks of everything – it can be intimidating, but we all know that’s how the light gets in.
Aviva is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from the Bay Area, and has traveled far and wide to share her songs and play music with friends. Over the last few years, Aviva has supported John Craigie, Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart), Rainbow Girls, Kit Center & The Hollow Bones, and Chelsea Coleman, and shared the stage with Langhorne Slim, Tallest Man on Earth, Skyway Man, and Twain.
