Motivational Interviewing Training , Rachel Upjohn Building Auditorium, Monday, 09. March 2020

This 2-day, interactive training will cover the fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing (MI). By the end of the 2-day training, participants will be expected to:

Have a basic understanding of the MI "spirit," fundamental elements, and terminology
Have practiced basic MI engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning skills
Understand how to integrate MI into daily practice to improve treatment engagement and efficiency around a variety of mental health and substance use problem areas

Target Audience
Mental health, substance abuse, medical, or other professionals who work with patients or clients regarding behavior change goals. CEs will be available for Michigan-licensed social workers.
