On the Table: Thriving as Bi+ in Chicago, Little Italy Branch, Chicago Public Library, Tuesday, 14. May 2019

Join the Chicago Bisexual Health Task Force for an On the Table discussion about bisexual+ health in Chicago!
Each year, Chicago Community Trust (CCT) hosts an event across Chicagoland called On the Table. The purpose of On the Table is to get community members talking about important local issues, and then to move those issues into action. This year, CCT is also doing a Memo to the Mayor initiative attached to the On the Table events. After the On the Table events, each group will submit a memo to CCT about what their group discussed and what they want the mayor to know. Then CCT will compile these memos into a document they will deliver to the new mayor . This is a great opportunity for starting off a conversation with the community and with the mayor about bi+ health issues! More about On the Table can be found here:
Our Table conversation is titled: "Thriving as Bi+ in Chicago, What do we need to be healthy?" We will use this time to brainstorm about the health and needs of Chicagoans who are bisexual, pansexual, fluid and/or ***** (or otherwise labeled folks attracted to two or more genders!). Bi+ people, activists, allies, health providers, and others all welcome to attend. We will prioritize key health needs and work together to create our Memo to the Mayor about what the city should do to improve bi+ health in the city.
The conversation will last from 12:30-2:30 on Tuesday, May 14th. It will take place in the community room of the Little Italy branch of the Chicago Public Library. Light refreshments will be provided. Accessibility information to follow, but please email eharri20@uic.edu (Elizabeth Harrison, CBHTF Steering Committee) with any accessibility requests.

Registration is required, but the event is free.
