Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group (Marietta, GA)

Rachel’s Gift and Journey Through Bereavement have joined resources to offer compassionate and professional support after the loss of a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death in the Northwest Atlanta community. Come as your heart leads. We are here to offer care and support as you walk your journey toward healing. This group is co-facilitated by Women’s Services Chaplain, Rev. Elata Dowdy, M. Div., BCC and Bereavement Supervisor, Roxanne Graham; call the Journey Through Bereavement office at 770.793.8093 for more information. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:30pm. FREE PARKING is available at the Cancer Center. We kindly ask that this be an ***** only group as we do not have the ability to offer childcare services. Everyone grieves the loss of a baby differently. Each person’s needs are very different. The support systems we have in place vary greatly. The entire first year can be full of many ups and downs. If you need additional support, or you need guidance on how to help your family or friend (either in general or with a particular struggle) we are here for you.  Rachel’s Gift pregnancy and infant loss support groups are open to those who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Rachel’s Gift provides support for families both in the hospital and beyond. Through support groups led by caring qualified counselors and social workers with years of experience, we help families move toward healing. Unlike general bereavement support groups, our support groups are specifically designed for families of pregnancy and infant loss. Families are able to join a support group at any time, where there are both emotional and tangible take aways. All of our groups are open to parents, grandparents, extended family, and even friends who would like to gain insight on better ways to be supportive. To be sensitive to your loss, children and babies are not allowed to attend. Registration is requested, not required.
