You’re engaged and LIFE IS CRAZY. Not only are you super-excited to spend the rest of your life with the one you love, you are in PLANNING MODE. And, truth be told, you are more focused on planning for the big day than the rest of your life. We totally get it. That’s why we created Preparing for Marriage. It’s a session for you and your soon-to-be spouse to become equipped and prepared for what comes after you say «I do.» We believe marriage is the journey of a lifetime. It’s filled with highs, lows and all the in-betweens, but with the right information and tools, there is nothing the two of you can’t conquer together. **Maybe you’re NOT engaged yet but you’re seriously dating or living together. This event is also great for couples who are thinking about saying «yes» to forever!** In Preparing for Marriage, we cover topics like: Conflict management Clear and effective communication skills What to expect within your first year of marriage How to handle the in-laws Planning for budgets and financing The importance of dating your spouse You may see this as “just one more thing” for you to do before the big day, but this isn’t preparation for just a day, this is preparation for a lifetime. Need more reasons to register? Our marriage facilitators do more than give you information in a classroom setting, they engage with you through activities and conversation. Plus, a full meal and snacks will be provided. Preparing for Marriage is an investment in your relationship you’ll never regret. AND, if you live in TN & GA, this experience will qualify you for a HEFTY discount on your marriage license! (Lucky you!) *Have food allergies we should know about? Contact mitchell@firstthings.org.
