This workshop consists of classroom sessions, demonstrations, hands-on lessons in the bee yard, homework assignment, and quiz. Participants are required to have completed a short course and have at least one year of experience in maintaining colonies.

Course Description:
The Queen Rearing Workshop runs for two consecutive days on a weekend and then one Saturday following. Each class is three hours in duration for a total of 9 hours of instruction. Participants must attend all class sessions to be eligible for the certificate of completion. In addition to in class time participants will be expected to complete a comprehensive final quiz.

Textbook included
Participants in the queen rearing workshop will get to take two queen cells home.
