Join us at The Growing Commons, our demonstration garden in Claremont CA, and learn some of the basic concepts behind regenerative gardening.  We will explore some of the features of this garden and the ideas behind its design, spend some time working in the garden and learning basic regenerative practices, and then sit down for lunch and a talk on native plants.
Co-hosted by Sarvodaya Institute and Kiss the Ground
What will we be learning?
We'll start with a walk through the garden, where we will discover and discuss some of the regenerative design features of the garden such as soil building, rainwater harvesting, mini-ponds, native plants, and fruit trees.  After that, we will go over some of the hands-on techniques that we will be using to contribute to the garden.  After the lesson, we will be breaking up into 4 teams, and each team will take on a different task in the garden.
Specifically, we will be working on:- planting new California native plants- spreading indigenous California flower and medicine seeds- trimming existing fruit trees- installing new irrigation
