René Furterer Academy Consultations and Client Experience ft. Rick Cooper, Atelier Emmanuel, Monday, 22. October 2018

René Furterer Academy Perfecting The Art of Consultations and Client Experience.
From the moment a client walks into the salon, their experience begins. Learning that there are key components that must take place to create a lasting impression is essential to client retention.  This comprehensive session will provide the fundamentals on how to engage the client, conduct a proper and thorough consultation that accurately accesses their needs and ultimately ensure they revisit time and time again. The first half of the full-day session will explain the process in detail from start to finish, while the second half applies those key learnings in a real-life demonstration. You will leave feeling confident of your ability to create a positive client experience that will establish a loyal clientele base.

Meet the Educator

Rick Cooper
Rick began his career in San Francisco at Vidal Sassoon in 1988 as a stylist and an educator.  With over 30 years of experience, he credits this early immersion for inspiring him to develop his own unique method of cutting which he based on three fundamental principles:  innovation, perfection, and excellence. This very pursuit of excellence and innovation ultimately led him to open Cooper Alley Salon in 2000 and Barber Lane in 2011. Just like his approach to cutting, he envisioned a company built upon the very principals and ideas that formed the basis of his career. It’s this very drive and passion for learning that catapulted him to become one of the first of three Atelier Directors for Shu Uemura, where for 7 years he helped designers grow their technical abilities, trained countless educators, performed at national hair shows, and supported designers through business building seminars.
In fact, it’s this unique perspective as an educator and as a business owner that allowed him to recognize the importance of developing not only the technical and creative abilities of designers but most importantly, their professional and business building skills. This commitment to teaching designers the significance of learning the necessary skill to be a successful professional propelled him to open his third location in San Francisco in 2017. His goal is to create a training center with the intent of helping fellow designers, as well as business owners, strengthen and unlock their business and professional potential.
