Anyone can become a Rutgers Environmental Steward!
The Rutgers Environmental Steward program is designed to introduce non-scientists to the science behind important environmental issues affecting NJ. Stewards then give back to their own communities by helping to tackle local environmental problems. If you have a passion for the environment, a desire to learn and a willingness to volunteer, then this program is for you!
Fieldtrips to environmentally significant sites around the state are included as part of the program.
Learn about:

Climate Change
Soil Health
Energy Conservation
Water Resource Protection
Invasive Species
Wildlife Management
Habitat Conservation
Protecting Pollinators
Environmental Policy

To become a certified Rutgers Environmental Steward, graduates of the class portion of the program complete a unique 60-hour volunteer internship of their choosing.
The program runs weekly and one ticket covers all of the meeting dates.
