SARATOGA SYMPHONY CONCERT, McAfee Performing Arts and Lecture Center, Sunday, 27. January 2019

ENJOY a classical music FREE orchestra concert with exciting rhythms and beautiful melodies!  All music on this program is by Russian composers.   A Rachmaninoff piano concerto features world-famous piano soloist Tamami Honma.  Conductor Dr. Jason Klein talks to the audience about each program piece before it is performed to add pleasure to the concert.
"Polonaise, Op. 16" (1902) by Lyapunov;  "Piano Concerto, No. 4" (1928) with Tamami Honma, piano soloist, by Rachmaninoff;  "Cortege Solennel, Op. 50" (1894) by Glazunov; and  "Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevronia" (1905) by Rimsky-Korsakov.
