Soul Man: A Musical Revue, Southeast Raleigh High School Auditorium, Friday, 14. June 2019

In the early 1960s, America was a turbulent place and its struggles were reflected in the music of prominent African American male artists. These soul and rhythm & blues singers helped to soothe an unsettled nation through their music while simultaneously affirm a culture of its beauty, strength and the power of its voice. In Li V Mahob Productions presents "Soul Man," audiences will celebrate the soulful sounds and passionate performances of artists like Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, Ray Charles and others who wove an important musical genre into this country's tapestry. Join us as we pay homage to voices that helped to define a generation and reflected the best in Black artistic excellence.
