Speaking the Truth in Love: The Priority of Preaching, Spring, Friday, 17. January 2020

The theme for this year’s Speaking the Truth in Love conference is “The Priority of Preaching." Charles Simeon once said that the aim of biblical exposition is to humble the sinner, to exalt the Savior, and to promote holiness. Our world desperately needs to know how deep humanity has fallen, how high Jesus has ascended, and what God requires of his people. The best and only way to help this world is to speak God’s words in the power of the Spirit. How do we do this? What does it look like? The answer is found in expository preaching. At this conference, we will see together that if we establish the priority of preaching the Word in the life of the church, then we have in place the single most important aspect of the church’s life, and growing health is virtually assured, because God has decided to act by his Spirit through his Word. The Bible alone is the way to speak the truth in love.
This year, we are excited to welcome several returning guests to the Truth in Love conference, including noted speaker, H.B. Charles, Pastor of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, Jason Allen, President of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Mike Fabarez, Pastor of Compass Bible Church, and Steven Lawson, President and founder of OnePassion Ministries. In addition, we will welcome a new guest, Jeff Noblitt, Pastor-Teacher of Grace Life Church of the Shoals.
The Speaking the Truth in Love conference is hosted by Richard Caldwell, Pastor-Teacher of Founders Baptist Church in Houston, TX, and founder of Walking in Grace Ministries.
We invite you to join us on January 17–19, 2020 to be part of this important event. You can register by going to
