About this Event
Approximate course length: 1 hour
This course is for:
Those who want to start learning the guitar and need to know the basics.
You will learn:
Which type of guitar might best suit the style (or styles) of music you are interested in playing and will look at tuning, basic technique and the chords you will need to get you started.
The course will cover:
• The attributes of different types of guitar.
• How to tune the guitar.
• How best to achieve clean and clear notes.
• How to play basic chords and how they work together to make a tune or accompaniment.
• Advice on further learning resources and ideas.
This course can be completed online at a time and pace to suit you.
There are no exams or formal assessments.
Work outside of sessions:
There is an expectation that you will complete work outside of the sessions in your own time. Your tutor will give you guidance.
Additional costs and what to prepare:
This course is offered free of charge and there are no other costs.
You will need a smart phone, tablet, laptop or other computer with internet access to take part in this Nearpod session.
You will need a pen and paper, laptop or tablet so that you can make your own notes.
Handouts will be emailed to you after the session.
How to access your course:
You can access this Nearpod session at a time to suit you during the advertised 30 day period. An email will be sent before the course is available with joining instructions.
