Tavern Fare, Rodgers Tavern Museum, Saturday, 15. June 2019

Have you ever wondered about the food served to travelers at inns and taverns like Rodgers Tavern in the 18th and 19th centuries?  Journey back in time with Susan McLellan Plaisted as we explore typical foods hungry travelers would have eaten while waiting to catch the next ferry or horse drawn coach.

Susan is the proprietress of Heart to Hearth Cookery offering lectures and demonstrations of 17th to 19th century cooking methods and is the Coordinator of Foodways at Pennsbury Manor, the recreated home of Pennsylvania's founder, William Penn.
