***** the Ambassador + The Embassy Ensemble in Concert

Multidisciplinary artist, Samuel «*****» Bazawule aka ***** the AMBASSADOR, is the headliner for Richmond’s #NationalDayofRacialHealing events on January 20-21, 2020 sponsored by Initiatives of Change USA. On January 21st, National Day of Racial Healing, we celebrate with an enthralling live concert performance by ***** the Ambassador and his 6-member band, The EMBASSY Ensemble. This follows our January 20th event for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day where we will screen two films by ***** the Ambassador – Diasporadical Trilogia (10 mins, 2016) and @TheBurialOfKojo (80 mins, 2018) – followed by a Q&A.*****’ live concerts are legendary. He has built an expansive following having rocked stages all over the world over the last decade in places such as South Africa, Kenya, Brazil, France, Germany, Brazil, Switzerland, Canada, Norway, Romania and Uganda. Blending sounds of hip hop, jazz, highlife and soul music, audience members are fully immersed in a polyrhytmic sound chamber like no other.The concert performance kicks off at 7pm but doors open for a PreParty at 6:30pm.
