You are herbey invited to join us Sunday, April 28th for the 3rd chapter of the Vino Carta Supper Club Series. For this chapter, we chose to work with a culinary theme - SMOKED dishes. Chef Chris Karetas, owner/chef of Carve, is a San Diego native whose family lineage in the food industry runs deep. At age 12, Karetas sold churros and soft pretzels at Kobe's Swap Meet as part of his father’s food service company. While attending college at San Diego State University, he worked at the Del Mar race track kitchen, further developing his understanding of food service. After attending California Culinary Academy of San Francisco and refining his philosophies around food and management in San Francisco restaurants, Karetas moved back to San Diego to rejoin the family business. He worked in multiple departments of the company but eventually returned to the kitchen – Karetas’ passion was creating menus and specialty plates for clients.
From the chef:
“I geeked out on how to make pastrami,” Karetas admits. “I tested smoking it in my parents’ backyard with an old smokey joe grill, and steaming it in my oven at home…I cooked it different ways over and over to perfect it.”

$100 per seat
* Apéritifs will be served at 7:30 PM | First course will be served at 8 PM
* Gratuity is included, tax is excluded
* The bar will be closed to the public, you can expect an intimate dining experience
* The bar will remain open after dinner for supper club attendees to pop bottles free of corkage 
* Paired wines will also be available to purchase from our retail selection
