Virtual Infant Feeding Specialist Training, online, Thursday, 17. September 2020

September 17 & 18, 2020

Families with an infant will have an array of personal experiences with how they provide nourishment to that child. This 20 hour, live, interactive, virtual training will leave you with the ability to support families through all infant feeding modalities, included but not limited to breastfeeding, bottle feeding, formula. weaning, solids, combination feeding, etc. Not only will you have a solid understanding of the details of these experiences but, as an IFS, you'll be able to recognize how birth, postpartum experiences, family, culture, and other influences will impact the infant feeding relationship between parent(s) and child.

The foundation of this program rests in the knowledge that breast milk is considered the biologically optimal food for babies, while also respecting and preparing the specialist to support and embrace the alternatives available for infant feeding.

Lacey Bauer, your instructor, will help you leave this training with the confidence to provide unbiased and nonjudgmental support to families through an experience that has a profound impact on how parents feel about their postpartum journey.
